Rock the Block enhances neighborhoods through essential exterior maintenance and landscaping which boosts health, community vibrancy, and property values. This volunteer-driven program provides these services at no cost to residents, working on multiple homes in a single neighborhood.
What does Rock the Block do?
The "Rock the Block" program is designed to offer valuable services at no cost to the residents of pre-selected neighborhoods. These services include:
painting
Refreshing front doors and shutters to boost curb appeal
lawn care
Mowing lawns to maintain neat and orderly properties
landscaping
Tidying and beautifying gardens and communal spaces
gardening
Planting new greenery and spreading mulch (provided by homeowners) to enhance the area's natural beauty.
pressure washing
Cleaning exteriors to rejuvenate home facades
mailbox detailing
Adding clear, new numbers to mailboxes, aiding in easy identification

Let's get rockin! Please join us for our third-ever Rock the Block event on Saturday, September 28th from 9-1 in the Sunrise Crossing neighborhood of Matthews, where we will work to restore and preserve our community through the power of volunteers!
